Toimela Adult Education Centre (Toimelan opisto) is an active and environmentally friendly private establishment in South Helsinki. It is maintained by the Toimela Settlement, a registered association. Our areas of instruction cover languages, music, gymnastics and dance, visual a rts, handicrafts, performing arts and literature, culture and community subjects, and boat handling. The establishment also works in conjunction with the University of Helsinki’s University of the Third Age. Our courses are intended for adults. The Toimela Settlement also maintains allotments in Munkkiniemi, on ground rented from the City of Helsinki, which have been in continuous use since 1936
